About me

While loved by his clients for the ease at which he puts them in front of the lens, it's Paul's award-winning style and professionalism, coupled with his visionary 'modern lifestyle' imagery and his 'real life' approach to portraiture that has made Fotoimpressions the first choice among Western NY style-makers and wedding planners throughout the US.

- Brides Magazine

Rylan Blue Catalog Shoot

During the first week of May I began shooting the inaugural catalog for Rylan Blue, an emerging athletic apparel company that caters specifically to equestrian sports, tennis and golf. I started corresponding with Rylan Blue back in November 2007 when they first put out a buzz that they were seeking a photographer. Specifically, one who...

Wedding at the Roycroft / East Aurora NY

Sam and Kris, you chose a superb venue for your wedding day. The Roycroft provided an intimate and contemplative space rich with history and furnishings that would make Frank Lloyd Wright want to redecorate his home. I loved all the hidden gems such as the carved quotes hidden throughout the Inn. In fact, one of...

An Extraordinary Couple

Natale and Aesha, my best wishes to you both. I hope your wedding in Sicily is as charmed and beautiful as your wedding was here in Rochester, NY. What a pleasure it was working with you both and, of course, the photo-shoot in the park…magical…unforgettable… Comments from the bride and groom – “Dear Paul, your...

Dana & Bruce

Dana and Bruce, you are among the few that can say they had a blowout reception complete with Elvis wigs and inflatable guitars. What an awesome reception – I wore a new hole in my dancing shoes. I hope you said to hell with the deposit on the DJ’s props and kept those killer shades!

best place for pizza!

During March of this year I took a week long trip to visit my best friend Jason in Chicago. (Jason is the guy on the left with the voluminously gelled hair that resembles a ski slope.) Jason also happens to be an amazing wedding photographer – you should visit his site sometime at www.photorexit.com. It...

My pre-season sabbatical from April 08

So how does this wedding photographer unwind during the off season…? He stuffs a back-pack full of camera gear and pocket-sized travel guides, then boards a plane to Europe. He also drinks a fifth of Southern Comfort with his girlfriend in Toronto’s Lester B Pearson International Airport before boarding his plane. Mary-Ellen (my girlfriend) and...

Elizabeth and Ben / plus bonus engagement outtakes…

Elizabeth and Ben, never have I shot a wedding that required secret service’s presence (or maybe those suits were just deranged ex-game show hosts speaking into their sleeves?) Regardless, I loved the photos from your wedding but It was definitely your engagement photos that re-set the bar for all future couple’s engagement shoots. I still...

Jaime and Joe

From our first engagement shoot at the beach (ha, remember powering through the toxic Ontario stench that made our eyes water and stained our clothes with stink!?) To to the final dance at your reception – you’re one of those couples that are blessed with such lovely families and friends, it leaves you with a...

Wedding in Williamstown Mass

Located in the Northern Berkshire Hills, Williamstown Massachusetts is real life diorama reminiscent of those quaint, ceramic Christmas scenes displayed in Hallmark stores and in the window-fronts of your knick-knacky neighbors. (I’m pretty sure the lawns are hand-painted in Williamstown). The wedding was equally picture-perfect -indeed one of the most composed brides and grooms I’ve...

Wedding in Ramsey NJ

Since I’ve been truant during the last five months I’m going to have to fudge a little bit and create some retro blog entries to catch you all up to speed. Please make sure your lap belts are fastened and your flux capacitors are fully charged…1.21 gigawatts… Here are a few images from the Ramsey,...
