About me

While loved by his clients for the ease at which he puts them in front of the lens, it's Paul's award-winning style and professionalism, coupled with his visionary 'modern lifestyle' imagery and his 'real life' approach to portraiture that has made Fotoimpressions the first choice among Western NY style-makers and wedding planners throughout the US.

Destination Wedding Photography | Alexandria Bay NY | Alexis & Kyle

Alexis and Kyle, before I moved to NY I never knew the Thousand Islands was a real place, I just thought it was really kick-ass salad dressing lol. I was up until 4am editing your wedding last night, it was so much fun; the scenery and overall atmosphere really allowed me to take lot of creative liberties when editing your images. I’ve looked through your gallery several times and I have to admit that I harbor some envy – you two have such festive family members and friends. A lot of daytime receptions never fully get off the ground, but your group needed no excuse or instruction on how to parteh… they’re professionals! :) I hope you both are doing well – can’t wait to hear back from you guys!

-Paul

“How do I find the words to tell you how I feel about these images of our wedding day? Do I love them? Yes, of course, but… Will I cherish them always? That too, but still… How about “I am absolutely beside myself with joy and literally moved to tears as I relive every moment and memory captured so clearly, so BRILLIANTLY by your camera.” That begins to come close. I knew from the beginning that, for me, preserving the images of this one singular day would be my top priority- above ‘the dress’ or the flowers or the details too soon forgotten. I wanted to find a photographer that would see this day as the defining event in our personal story, not just a job- that would be able to capture the emotion, not just the moments- that would make every frame sing with the beauty and love that we wanted our friends and family to share with us here in this place, at this time. You have done that- and more. Every picture is a clear, beautiful memory that we will now have forever. I couldn’t have dreamed up better pictures- actually, no- I did have that dream, and you have made this dream come true.

For his part Kyle says the pictures are “beautiful and I can’t believe I only look angry in one of them.” !!! Even if he can’t admit it, he loved this day, too. And he, especially, appreciated your cool demeanor and your awesome ability behind the camera ‘blending’ into the experience to capture the very best of this day. Please also send our many many MANY thanks to Mary Ellen! She is one cool cat and not only a great assistant but an all around wonderful gal- a calming force with mean moves on the dance floor.” :)

ps. I just had to include this sequence of images – I thought it was hilarious! I think a fitting caption would be…’I did what, married!?…when did that happen…how many beers did I have!?
